Question / Issue
The Bible seems to put the greatest emphasis on the resurrection of the dead. Why is that a big deal if when we die our disembodied spirits are immediately ushered into the presence of God? Why pull the spirit out of it's heavenly bliss to be joined to a resurrected body if we are already in heaven? What's the point?

Answer / Solution
The point is that this idea of the receiving of a glorified body at the resurrection is God’s and secondly, His plan is for us to dwell in a new earth at His glorious return where we reign on earth with Christ.
